Lose Stomach Fat Quickly – Stop Wasting Time With These 3 Fat Loss Gimmicks

Was thinking about a few of the biggest diet gimmicks people get tripped up on early in their fight to lose stomach fat quickly.  There are a ton for sure, but a few stand out.   Here are the worst offenders:

Drugstore Diet Pills

Unbelievable how much money is spent on colorful pills each year to supposedly help people lose fat.  Last check, we were at the 40 billion dollar a year mark.   Not sure how there’s anyone out there who still needs to slim down with all those pills being sold?  But there is, and the fancy pills aren’t helping.  The thing with the pills is that there always seems to be something in the directions that tells you not to eat anything after 6 p.m., or after dinner.  So the question is: What’s making you lose weight in the short term?  The pill or cutting out a few hundred calories by not eating after dinner?  “Results may vary” is another story entirely.

Exercise Gadgets

Ahh the exercise gadget…. The ThighMaster is my personal fav, but all have the same thing in common; they all play into the myth of spot reduction.  Can you realistically lose stomach fat quickly with the ThighMaster or any other similar gadget?  The answer…drum roll please……NO.  You may strengthen your thighs, or your abs, or your butt, but realistically, you’re really not going to lose fat with these gadgets.  As is the case with diet pills, exercise gadgets do more to waste your time and money than they do to help you get in shape.

Starvation Diets

This kind of dieting is the worst thing you can do if you want to slim down.  In this category you have simply not eating(which is always fun), or eating very few calories, to eating certain fruits, to only drinking certain drinks, etc..  In fact, I recently saw a bottle of some sort of juice at a drugstore that made a claim of “lose 10 pounds in one day” or some such crap.  These diets will do nothing but dehydrate you, leave you starving, and like the other two topics mentioned, leave you further behind in your fat loss program than before you started.

Bottom Line: The only real way to lose stomach fat quickly is to make eating the right foods, and exercising consistently a priority.
